Acrylic yarn is a very unique hammock material, with many benefits which include, weather fastness, color fastness, super strength, and unbelievably soft comfort (better then Polypropylene, Polyester or Nylon). The vibrant colors are possible due to Acrylic yarn lending itself well to dying. Unique yarn material, outstanding skills and creativity combine in a masterpiece that goes far beyond just being a handicraft, it’s a piece of art! The JUMBO design comprises 450 individual strands of yarn, each 3.75m long, equating to a total of 1.8KM of yarn. It takes a Hill Tribe weaver 7-8 days to complete 105 turns on each of the 450 strands resulting in approximately 45,000 loops per hammock. The greater the number of loops in a woven fabric is a direct indication of the quality. FOR BEST COMFORT, AND TO KEEP THE HAMMOCK OPEN, LIE DIAGONALLY ON IT.
